About C-Quip
C-Quip Ltd is an established marine equipment distribution business supplying an extensive range of products to the global marine industry. Working with internationally recognised brands and developing our own product ranges, we supply both commercial and leisure marine markets.
As our business continues to develop, we are looking for an organised, enthusiastic and digitally confident individual to join our team at our Whiteley office.
This is a varied role combining general office administration with responsibility for maintaining and managing content across our various company websites.
The Role
We are looking for someone who enjoys variety, has excellent organisational skills and is confident working with computers and digital platforms.
The position combines day-to-day office administration with the management and development of website content. You will take responsibility for keeping our websites up to date, ensuring product information, images, descriptions and other content are accurate, relevant and professionally presented.
We use WordPress across our websites, so previous experience is highly desirable. However, you will not be expected to undertake technical website development, as we work with an external web developer for this.
You will also support the wider team with general administration, sales support and data management.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and update content across the company’s WordPress websites, adding new products, descriptions, specifications and images, and maintaining accurate, consistent product information. * Improve website content, presentation and navigation; create and update pages, news items and promotional content; and help keep our websites current, engaging and professionally presented. * Work with our external web developer on website improvements and new functionality, and assist with basic SEO to improve the online visibility of our products and brands. * Provide general administrative support to the business and wider team, undertaking varied duties to support the smooth running of the office. * Process and maintain sales, purchase and stock-related documentation, and assist with data entry and maintaining accurate product and customer records. * Handle incoming telephone calls and email enquiries where required, and assist with customer and supplier correspondence. * Support the preparation of reports, spreadsheets and general business documentation, and assist with general data management and reporting. * Use Pegasus Opera as our stock management and financial administration system, and maintain accurate information across our business systems.
About You
* Highly organised and methodical, with good administrative skills and the ability to manage competing priorities. * Confident using computers, everyday office software and Microsoft Office, with good general IT skills. * Comfortable working with websites and managing digital content, with previous WordPress experience highly desirable. * Accurate and attentive to detail, particularly with product information, with strong written English and good verbal and written communication skills. * Self-motivated, reliable and proactive, able to work independently and willing to learn. * Happy to work as part of a small, busy team and get involved in a variety of tasks. * Experience managing website content, product listings and images, and knowledge of basic SEO and digital marketing are highly desirable. * Experience using Pegasus Opera or similar stock management and financial software, and an interest in marine equipment, boating or watersports are highly desirable.
Experience with Pegasus Opera would be an advantage, but full training can be provided. Similarly, while WordPress experience is strongly preferred, we are interested in individuals with the right aptitude and a willingness to develop their skills.
What We Offer
* A varied and interesting role within an established marine business. * The opportunity to take ownership of our website content and online presence. * A supportive working environment within a small, friendly team. * Training on our internal systems and software. * The opportunity to develop your skills across administration, website management and digital marketing.
