In partnership with 8,900 local churches across 29 countries, they move with compassion to release children from poverty in Jesus’ name. Today, more than 2 million children receive education, healthcare, and life-changing support tailored to their individual needs. Led by Jesus, Compassion empowers children to thrive and bring hope to their communities. Our Story Our programmes support children's physical and mental wellbeing. They cultivate character and give children and young people the skills, access to education and motivation they need to be self-sufficient in the future. The care is given in the context of a local church community where children and their families can experience practical expressions of God’s love. The unique structure of our one-to-one model allows sponsors to see the difference being made over time. Sponsors receive letters, photo updates and news from their sponsored child’s project. What makes us unique Christ-Centred: It’s all about Jesus. He’s our inspiration, the model we follow and the one we strive to introduce others to. We move with compassion because Jesus did. Child-Focused: We empower children with the resources and relationships they need to address the spiritual, economic, social and physical challenges of poverty. Church-Based: We always work in partnership with the local church because they bring deep cultural understanding and knowledge of their communities’ needs. Their commitment builds strong relationships for the long-term and so they’re best placed to develop locally led, targeted solutions that bring enduring change.
