About the Role
We are looking for an organised, people-focused and proactive Office Manager to join our client’s manufacturing business based near Filey.
This is a varied and rewarding role that combines office management, HR and supporting the day-to-day running of the business. You’ll be a key point of contact for employees and management, helping to create a positive, well-organised workplace where people can do their best work.
The role would suit someone who enjoys variety, takes ownership of their work and is confident dealing with people at all levels. You’ll have the opportunity to make the role your own and play an important part in the continued growth and success of the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage day-to-day HR administration and provide support and guidance to employees and managers.
* Maintain accurate employee records, contracts and HR documentation.
* Support recruitment, onboarding and induction of new employees.
* Assist with absence management, holidays, performance matters and employee relations.
* Coordinate training, development and relevant HR processes.
* Oversee the smooth day-to-day running of the office.
* Manage general administration, correspondence and documentation.
* Coordinate office supplies, facilities and services.
* Maintain organised filing and record-keeping systems.
* Liaise with suppliers, customers and other external contacts where required.
* Support senior management with administrative tasks and projects.
* Help identify opportunities to improve office systems, processes and efficiency.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is organised, approachable and dependable, with excellent attention to detail and the confidence to work independently.
You’ll ideally have:
* Previous experience in an HR, office management or combined HR/administration role.
* Good knowledge of general HR processes and employment practices.
* Strong organisational and administrative skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* A professional, approachable and confidential manner.
* The ability to prioritise a varied workload and meet deadlines.
* Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
* The confidence to communicate effectively with people at all levels.
A CIPD Level 3 qualification, or currently working towards one, would be ideal but is not essential. We are more interested in finding the right person with the attitude, experience and enthusiasm to make a real difference Only candidates based in UK and eligible to work in UK are allowed
