We are working with an established, international business looking to appoint an organised and proactive Office Manager to take responsibility for the day to day running of its UK office.

This is a varied role offering the opportunity to work closely with senior management and colleagues across different business functions, ensuring the office operates efficiently and provides a welcoming, professional environment for employees and visitors.

The Role

You will take ownership of the office's day to day operations, acting as the central point of contact for workplace and administrative matters.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing the smooth running of the office, including building maintenance, facilities, equipment, supplies and external service providers.

  • Ensuring the workplace is organised, well-maintained and provides an excellent experience for employees and visitors.

  • Providing administrative and organisational support to senior management, including diary coordination, meetings, travel and preparation of business documentation.

  • Working alongside the Finance team to coordinate invoices, expenses, purchasing requirements and general budget administration.

  • Supporting the HR function with new starter arrangements, inductions and initiatives designed to enhance employee engagement and workplace culture.

  • Coordinating internal meetings, company events, workshops and team activities.

  • Maintaining office procedures, records and documentation, ensuring appropriate standards of confidentiality, health and safety and compliance.

  • Identifying opportunities to improve internal processes and introducing more efficient ways of working.

  • Building effective relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers and external partners.

Requirements

About You

We're looking for someone who is naturally organised, commercially aware and enjoys being the person who makes things happen behind the scenes.

You'll ideally bring:

  • At least 3–5 years' experience in office management, business administration or a similar operational support position.

  • Experience supporting senior leaders or working closely with management teams.

  • A background in coordinating facilities, suppliers and workplace services.

  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to build relationships at all levels.

  • The ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently and take a proactive approach to problem-solving.

  • Some exposure to finance administration, HR processes or employee onboarding.

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Teams.

  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.

  • Fluent written and spoken English.

A degree in Business Administration, Management, HR or a related discipline would be advantageous, but relevant experience is equally important.
