Job Description - Office Manager

About Rocket Sports:
Rocket Sports is a specialist consultancy helping brands, rights holders and athletes navigate the commercial side of sport.

Co-founded by Sir Elton John in 2012, today our highly regarded team works with some of the world’s best-known athletes, rights holders, and commissioners to create powerful partnerships that deliver against a wide variety of marketing and commercial objectives.

In a nutshell, we create rocket-fuelled marketing partnerships and original productions by delivering best-in-class commercial resource for our clients.

We are seeking a proactive and organised Office Manager and HR Assistant to support our Managing Director with day-to-day business operations and ensure the smooth functioning of our office. This role is integral to maintaining a productive and positive work environment, overseeing key HR functions, and supporting our team to perform at their best.

Key Responsibilities

Administrative Support:
Assist the Managing Director with daily business operations, including diary management, scheduling meetings, and organising travel arrangements.
Manage office supplies, subscriptions, and equipment, ensuring the office is well-maintained and fully operational.

Human Resources Support:
Oversee non-sensitive internal HR procedures such as performance reviews, staff training, and staff welfare initiatives.
Act as the main point of contact for HR advisors, assisting in drafting HR letters, job offers, and other HR-related documentation.
Maintain accurate employee records, manage holiday allowances, and oversee employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
Assist with the hiring and onboarding of new staff members, including posting job vacancies and screening candidates.

Team Coordination:
Ensure effective communication and collaboration within the team, facilitating a supportive and efficient working environment.
Organise and plan company events, team-building activities, and other staff engagement initiatives.

Financial and Operational Duties:
Assist in reconciling accounts and managing office budgets.
Keep track of subscriptions and renewals, ensuring all services and tools used by the company are up to date.
Support with ad-hoc duties as required to ensure the smooth operation of the office.

Promote and maintain a positive workplace culture, ensuring Rocket Sports is a great place to work for all employees.
Address any staff concerns or issues promptly and effectively, fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment.

Qualifications and Skills
Proven experience as an Office Manager, HR Assistant, or similar role.
Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
Proficiency in MS Office and HR management software.
Knowledge of basic accounting and financial reconciliation.
Familiarity with HR procedures and regulations.
High level of discretion and confidentiality.
