This includes ensuring that client money is handled in accordance with SRA guidelines, maintaining separate ledgers for client and office funds, prompt banking of client funds, regular reconciliations, and accurate record-keeping to prevent misuse or errors.
  • Oversee day-to-day financial operations including supplier payments, billing processes, and cashflow monitoring.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting alongside external accountants where needed.
  • Ensure timely financial compliance and help monitor profitability metrics.

Strategic Support:

  • Work closely with the Directors to deliver key projects aimed at driving business growth and operational maturity.
  • Lead initiatives related to technology adoption, process re-engineering, and best practice frameworks.
  • Assist with HR administration, recruitment support, and staff onboarding processes.

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience in an Office Manager, Operations Manager, or similar management role.
  • Strong organisational, project management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of operational finance processes (prior accounting qualification not required).
  • Understanding of compliance/risk management frameworks in professional services.
  • Comfortable working autonomously in a small but growing team.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a hands-on approach.
  • A mindset focused on continuous improvement and scalable growth.

Why join Broadstone Legal?
