Corporate & Finance Associate - Cayman Islands

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a commercially astute and driven Associate to join a highly regarded international law firm's Corporate and Finance practice in the Cayman Islands. This position offers exposure to high-calibre cross-border work in a sophisticated legal environment, advising global financial institutions, corporates, and investment managers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver clear, accurate, and commercially aligned legal advice across a wide range of corporate and finance matters.

  • Contribute to the execution of complex transactions, including financing arrangements, restructurings, mergers, and corporate governance projects.

  • Collaborate closely with senior lawyers and partners to support client relationships and enhance service delivery.

  • Engage with international clients across time zones, delivering solutions-oriented legal support under tight deadlines.

  • Take ownership of workstreams and ensure consistent progress of matters from instruction through to completion.

  • Mentor and support junior team members, contributing to a collaborative and inclusive team culture.

  • Actively participate in client development initiatives and contribute to marketing and business development strategies.

  • Maintain a high standard of timekeeping, file management, and compliance with the firm's billing and performance targets.

What We're Looking For
  • Admission to practice in a Commonwealth jurisdiction (e.g., England & Wales, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa) with a minimum of 4 years' post-qualification experience in a leading international firm.

  • Strong grounding in banking and finance, corporate law, or funds-related work, with a track record of advising sophisticated clients on complex legal issues.

  • First-rate academic credentials and a commitment to ongoing professional development.

  • Strong communication and drafting skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and concisely.

  • Commercially minded, entrepreneurial, and adaptable with a proactive approach to client service and internal collaboration.

  • Experience working in or with offshore financial centres or clients is advantageous but not essential.

  • High proficiency in document drafting tools, legal research software, and Microsoft Office applications.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Why This Role?

You'll be joining a globally integrated firm known for excellence in offshore advisory work, where you'll benefit from a strong support network, outstanding career development, and access to a broad client base operating across global financial markets. The Cayman Islands also offers an attractive lifestyle, professional growth, and tax-free earning potential.
