Offshore Wind Senior Electrical Engineer

Spencer Ogden is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join an award-winning worldwide leading consultancy focussed on the development and innovation of offshore wind energy. The Senior Electrical Engineer will collaborate with a team on various engineering and consultancy tasks for diverse offshore wind farm projects. Responsibilities:
Provide expert analysis and guidance on offshore transmission systems, focusing on high and medium voltage engineering within various roles including owner’s engineer technical advisory, technical due diligence, and power systems desktop studies.
Assist in project management to ensure timely delivery of optimal solutions to clients, adhering to cost and quality standards.
Support bid preparation and proposal reviews to ensure high-quality competitive bids.
Attend internal and external meetings, fostering collaborative relationships with clients.
Maintain compliance with approved instructions, procedures, and policies.
Mentor and support less experienced team members.
Manage subcontractors involved in project delivery.
Take on package manager role within larger projects, overseeing technical project management from development to installation.

Qualifications and Experience:
Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or Science; Master’s degree in Electrical or Power Engineering preferred.
Minimum of 6 years of experience in utilities, infrastructure, power systems, electrical engineering, or energy systems.
Experience in the development, construction, and operation of onshore or offshore wind projects.
Proficiency in engineering software, electrical systems, and power systems concepts.
Strong project coordination, leadership, and independent work skills.
Experience with power systems studies, high and medium voltage electrical components, and renewable energy project consulting or design.
Familiarity with relevant industry codes and standards (e.g., ENA, IEC, NGTS, IEEE, DNV).
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work effectively in a hybrid office/home setting, with flexibility to split work between Glasgow or London offices and remote work.
