Service: Solo Children’s Residential Home (EBD)
Salary: From £50,000 per annum
Bonus: 10% performance-based bonus linked to KPIs
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent

We are supporting our client in the recruitment of a Registered Manager for their solo children’s residential service based in Smethwick. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a small, focused provision supporting children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

The Role:
As the Registered Manager, you will take full operational responsibility for the solo provision, ensuring a high standard of care, compliance with regulatory requirements, and the delivery of positive outcomes for the young person in your care. You will lead and develop a small, dedicated team and ensure the home is a safe, nurturing, and stable environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day management of the home
• Ensure compliance with Ofsted and relevant legislation
• Lead, support and supervise a small care team
• Promote a therapeutic, child-focused approach to care
• Manage budgets, staffing, and care planning
• Drive continuous improvement and monitor performance against KPIs

Essential Requirements:

• Experience managing or deputising in a children’s residential care setting
• Strong understanding of safeguarding, Ofsted requirements, and EBD support
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards)
• Proven ability to lead a team and manage solo provision effectively
• A child-centred, resilient and committed approach
• Full UK driving licence
