  • Salary: £24,796 pro rata (£12.85 per hour)
  • Hours: Part time, 30 hours per week, 8.45 am to 3.15 pm, Monday to Friday, term time only
  • Contract: Fixed term until 31 August 2027, required as soon as possible

Honington CE Primary School are seeking a motivated, caring, and patient Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our team and provide one to one support for a child.

You will be committed to inclusive education and be passionate about helping every child reach their full potential. You will need to build positive, consistent relationships and help create a secure, supportive, and stimulating learning environment.

We welcome applicants who have experience working with children with special educational needs or who have undertaken relevant training.

 

Your responsibilities

  • Support pupils with learning, behaviour and wellbeing.
  • Work with teachers to deliver planned activities and interventions.
  • Encourage children’s confidence, independence and positive relationships.
  • Contribute positively to the wider life of the school.

 

You will

  • have experience of working with children with special educational needs in a primary school setting and have the skills and attitude to succeed in the role
  • have high expectations for both learning and behaviour, with a genuine belief in the potential of every child and a commitment to inclusive practice
  • be able to use your initiative and adapt easily to change
  • be warm, flexible, positive and able to work well as part of a team.
