ONGOING Class 1 Driver

HGV 1 Nightshift trunk driver required for new contract in the Hereford area

working Sunday to Thursday nights

Responsibilities

* Safely operate heavy goods vehicles, during night shifts to transport goods from Herford to Runcorn

* Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with legal standards

* Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment

* Complete accurate delivery documentation, including logs, manifests etc

* Communicate effectively with dispatchers and warehouse teams to coordinate schedules and resolve any issues promptly

* Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle, reporting any mechanical concerns immediately

Skills

* Proven minimum 1 years experience as a commercial HGV 1 driver

* Strong driving skills with a clean driving record and valid HGV license

* Knowledge of road regulations, safety standards, and best practices for night driving

* Excellent communication skills for clear interaction with team members and clients

* Attention to detail in completing paperwork and following safety procedures
