Online Accounts Administrator

Job Description - Online Accounts Administrator

Online Accounts Administrator

E-commerce | Product Listings | Data & Reporting

We're working with an established and successful business that is looking for a highly organised, detail-focused and proactive administrator to join its team.

This is a varied, predominantly behind-the-scenes role, supporting the day-to-day management of the company's online retail accounts. It's an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with systems, data and information, takes pride in getting the details right and isn't afraid to use their initiative.

You don't need previous e-commerce experience. We're just as interested in finding someone with excellent administrative skills, a logical approach and the ability to learn.

What will you be doing?

  • Managing and maintaining product information across online retail platforms.
  • Uploading and updating product listings, descriptions, images and pricing.
  • Ensuring all online content is accurate, consistent and presented to a high standard.
  • Monitoring account information and making updates as required.
  • Downloading sales data and preparing reports using Excel.
  • Supporting the analysis of sales performance, trends and online activity.
  • Assisting with pricing updates, invoicing and general account administration.
  • Identifying inaccuracies, resolving issues and suggesting improvements.
  • Adapting to changes in online platforms, systems and processes.

What are we looking for?

First and foremost, we're looking for someone who is meticulous, proactive and comfortable taking ownership of their work.

You'll ideally bring:

  • A strong background in administration, ideally within a busy commercial environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a methodical, logical approach.
  • Very good written English, with the confidence to proofread and check product descriptions.
  • Good Excel skills, ideally including VLOOKUPs and working with data.
  • Confidence using different IT systems and learning new software.
  • The initiative to spot something that needs doing and get on with it.
  • The ability to adapt quickly when systems, processes or priorities change.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage your own workload.

Previous experience working with e-commerce platforms, online product listings or retail account administration would be an advantage, but it's certainly not essential. The right attitude, aptitude and attention to detail are just as important.

Why consider this opportunity?

You'll be joining an established business with a supportive team and the opportunity to develop your knowledge across different online retail accounts.

It's a position that offers plenty of variety, responsibility and scope to grow as you become more familiar with the business and its systems.

If you're someone who enjoys working with information, loves a spreadsheet, notices the little details others might miss and takes genuine pride in doing a job properly, we'd love to hear from you.
