Online Trading Manager

The Business:
Nigel Wright is delighted to be working with a British independent retailer founded in the North East.  A family run business that has expanded over the last decade across retail stores and ecommerce.

The Role:
•    Product Presentation: Ensure that all products are accurately listed.
•    Category Management: Oversee the categorisation and arrangement of products to ensure easy navigation and product discovery for customers.
•    Inventory Management: Monitor product stock levels, availability and update listings.
•    Sales Optimisation: Implement strategies to promote key products, improve conversion rates, and maximize sales by optimising product placement and visibility on the site.
•    Pricing & Promotions: Support the setup and execution of promotional pricing and discounts, ensuring accuracy across all digital platforms.
•    Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, purchasing, design, and IT teams to ensure cohesive product launches and promotional campaigns.
•    Performance Analytics: Use web analytics tools (GA4) to track product performance, identify trends, and optimise product merchandising strategies.
The Person:
•    Proven experience in e-commerce merchandising.
•    Strong understanding of online retail platforms.
•    Familiarity with Google Analytics or similar tools to monitor and assess product performance.
•    Basic knowledge of SEO principles and best practices.
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•    Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
•    Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
