Operations Analyst

A boutique investment firm is looking for an Operations Analyst to join their growing company.

Working within a supportive team, the person will take on a broad range of responsibilities and have the opportunity to learn about the financial services industry from the ground up.

The ideal candidate should be smart, numerate, computer literate, hard working and a self-starter, with the ability to add significant value to the firm. They are looking for someone who has achieved a degree classification of a 2:1 or above in a relevant discipline and has a keen interest in financial markets.

Responsibilities will include:

Operations:

• Bank reconciliations
• Loan processing and record keeping
• Assisting with KYC/AML requests

Corporate:

• Accounts payable and receivable
• Bookkeeping of group companies
• Assistance with VAT returns
• Assistance with company secretarial
• Assistance with audits

Special purpose vehicles ('SPVs):

• Bank reconciliations
• Order processing and record keeping
• Payment processing

Candidate will demonstrate the following:

• Sound knowledge of accounting (UK, US GAAP & IFRS), together with industry experience
• Excellent attention to detail, effective analytical and problem-solving skills
• A flexible and adaptable approach
• Good planning and organisational skills
• Ability to work under pressure and manage tight internal and client deadlines
• Must be able to demonstrate initiative and to manage their own workload
