Operations Analyst

Providing day-to-day operational support to the firm’s trading activity by ensuring accurate, timely booking and lifecycle management of trades across macro asset classes,repo/financing , andlong/short equities settlements , partnering with Portfolio Managers, Execution and counterparties (including prime brokers) to minimise breaks and resolve issues efficiently.

1. Support the Operations team in the daily processing of trades and associated workflows, ensuring a high level of accuracy, timeliness and control.
2. Book and validate trades across asset classes including rates, FX, credit (including swaps), futures, options, bonds,repo/financing , structured products and (as applicable) equity-related activity, within agreed timelines.
3. Own/coordinate settlement processing for long/short equities, including monitoring settlement status, investigating fails and working with prime brokers/custodians to resolve exceptions.
4. Support repo trade capture and lifecycle processing, including rate/fee validation, rollover processing (where applicable), and coordination with prime brokers to ensure timely and accurate settlement.
5. Manage trade lifecycle processes including confirmations, settlement, collateral/financing workflows (where applicable), and issue management through to resolution.
6. Act as a key point of contact between internal stakeholders (Operations, Execution, Portfolio Managers, Finance, Risk, Compliance, Technology) and external counterparties (prime brokers, brokers, custodians, vendors) to reduce discrepancies and resolve breaks.
7. Proactively monitor and investigate trade and position breaks, cash/stock differences and settlement exceptions; escalate appropriately and maintain clear audit trails.
8. Ensure clear, accurate and timely communication of relevant information within Operations and to other teams, including concise updates on status, risks, priorities and upcoming deadlines.
9. Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls and productivity (e.g., automation, workflow enhancements, stronger checklists, data quality improvements), and contribute ideas to the wider Operations agenda.
10. Build product and systems knowledge over time, staying aware of market/industry developments relevant to the desk’s activity.
