Operations Analyst

Job DescriptionJob title: Operations Analyst Location: LondonThe Role: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a technically skilled and enthusiastic Senior Operations Associate to join our client's expanding and high-caliber boutique service provider. This role offers comprehensive exposure across all areas of our business and allows you to take ownership of processes early in your career. Working closely with a collaborative team of experienced professionals, you will enhance and develop new processes using technical skills such as Go and SQL. This role involves regular interaction with other teams and external counterparties to resolve a broad set of daily issues.Responsibilities:Provide daily middle and back-office support to clients, mainly hedge funds or alternative asset funds.Timely trade bookings and daily position and cash reconciliations.Send trades and position files to custodians and administrators.Process cash journals and corporate actions.Handle trade settlement queries, trade matching, and trade reconciliation.Manage and monitor the trade life cycle across various products, both cash and derivatives.Oversee daily and weekly cash and margin management.Reconcile NAV and set up/manage expense accruals, including management and performance fees.Handle portfolio and share class FX hedging.Produce various fund and client-related reports.Liaise with counterparties, custodians, prime brokers, and administrators to resolve issues promptly.Maintain and update procedure documentation.Onboard new clients and ensure a smooth transition into the Operations team.Support new systems selection and implementation.Participate in the on-call rota of the Operations team.Essential Attributes:Bachelor’s or master’s degree (minimum 2:1) in Mathematics, Engineering, or Computer Science.3-10 years of relevant industry experience in operations covering several asset classes.Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to analyse and debug problems in a fast-paced environment.Disciplined self-starter with a high degree of motivation and rigor.Programming experience (Python, Go) related to automation and data manipulation (SQL).Enjoys challenging and being challenged to achieve the best solutions.Benefits:Onsite gym, sauna, and fitness classes at no charge.Extensive medical benefits including an on-site doctor and therapist at no charge.Breakfast and lunch provided during weekdays.Various supports for caregivers, including emergency dependent care.Beautiful Kings Cross office25 days paid holiday per year plus statutory holidays and paid sick days.Generous compensation and pension contributions.If you are interested in this role, please contact [email protected] or [email protected].
