Operations & Logistics Administrator
Location: Stoke-on-Trent Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm Holiday: 26 days plus Bank Holidays
The Opportunity
We are recruiting for an organised and proactive Operations & Logistics Administrator to join a well-established business in Stoke-on-Trent.
This role will play a key part in supporting daily logistics operations, ensuring goods are delivered efficiently, transport arrangements are managed effectively, and operational records remain accurate and up to date. Alongside logistics responsibilities, you will also support purchasing and stock control activities within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
Logistics & Transport Coordination
Arrange and coordinate courier, pallet, haulage and specialist transport bookings. Track deliveries and obtain proof of delivery documentation. Investigate and resolve delivery issues, shortages, damages and service failures. Liaise with transport providers, suppliers, customers and internal departments. Monitor transport performance and support service improvements. Maintain accurate transport records and operational documentation. Support logistics reporting and KPI tracking. Ensure delivery schedules are communicated effectively and updated as required.
Purchasing & Inventory Support
Produce stock eports and support purchasing activities. Raise and monitor purchase orders Assist with inventory checks, stock counts and stock management processes. Investigate stock discrepancies. Maintain accurate purchasing and supplier records. Update operational systems and ensure data integrity across stock and purchasing activities.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
Previous experience within a logistics, transport, dispatch, supply chain or operations administration environment. Strong administrative and organisational skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Experience coordinating multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously. Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships with customers, suppliers and colleagues. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. A proactive and solutions-focused approach. The ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience of stock control, purchasing or transport coordination would be advantageous.
