We are working with an established adult social care provider who are looking for an experienced Head of Operations & Quality to join their senior management team.
This is a key leadership position with responsibility for overseeing operational performance, quality, compliance and continuous improvement across a portfolio of care homes throughout Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire.
The successful candidate will work closely with Registered Managers and senior leadership to ensure services are operating safely, effectively and consistently, while maintaining a strong focus on person-centred care and positive outcomes.
The Role
Provide operational leadership and oversight across multiple care homes Support, coach and challenge Registered Managers to achieve consistently high standards Lead on quality assurance, governance and continuous improvement Monitor compliance with CQC regulations, safeguarding requirements and relevant legislation Carry out regular quality audits, service reviews and compliance checks Monitor and review incidents, complaints, safeguarding concerns and action plans Ensure identified improvements are implemented and sustained Support Registered Managers with CQC inspections, action plans and regulatory requirements Review care plans, risk assessments, medication processes and other key documentation Monitor service performance and identify areas for improvement Develop and maintain effective quality and operational systems Produce regular reports and provide clear recommendations to senior leadership Promote a positive culture of accountability, learning and person-centred care Work collaboratively with families, professionals, commissioners and other key stakeholders Support the organisation's continued growth while ensuring quality and operational standards remain high
About You
We are looking for an experienced senior care professional with a strong background in operations, quality, compliance or service management within adult social care.
You will ideally have:
Experience overseeing multiple care homes or services Previous experience at Regional Manager, Operations Manager, Quality Manager, Head of Care or similar level Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and adult social care legislation Experience leading audits, quality assurance and service improvement Experience supporting and developing Registered Managers A good understanding of safeguarding, risk management, care planning and medication Strong leadership and people-management skills The confidence to challenge poor practice and drive improvements Excellent communication and organisational skills A proactive, solutions-focused approach A Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management for Adult Care or equivalent would be advantageous A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, as regular travel between services will be required
