Operations Chef

Almost Famous is a high energy fast casual dining group of 5 burger restaurants throughout the North

with plans for further expansion. We are forward thinking and strive to be at the top, always. We are looking for a highly motivated, dynamic individual to head up our food operations

. You must be driven by exacting standards and have a desire to be the best at everything you do. You must be experienced to at least head chef level and come from a

solid professional cheffing background.
The successful candidate will have excellent people skills, be able to build and motivate a team as well as being able to work alongside Directors of the business and Senior Management. You should have a good understanding of the food scene and current trends, you should know whats cool, whats hot and whats really not.
As operations chef you will take responsibility for the quality of the product being served in restaurants through management and implementation of systems alongside development of staff and teams: we will rely on you to make sure every burger is juicy and delicious. You will work with the directors to develop new menu items and exciting forward thinking new specials.
You should understand the importance in the kitchen of cleanliness and exceptional standards regarding being EHO compliant.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, key responsibilities include
Recruitment, training and mentoring of all Head and Sous Chefs
Ensure all staff are trained to the required level
Develop internal progression and retention plan for talent
Ensure food is produced to the correct specifications and looks great
Drive labour controls at each site to achieve budgeted labour requirements
Maintain food safety standards, comply with current legislation, manage kitchen compliance
Work with Directors to implement new menus from creation to execution in all restaurants
Must have a full UK Driving License and be based in / around the Greater Manchesterarea
