The Role Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Operations Director to lead and enhance production, logistics, and customer service departments. This pivotal role involves streamlining operations, optimising supply chains, and ensuring outstanding customer satisfaction, aligning with our commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership • Develop and implement operational strategies to support business growth and efficiency. • Collaborate with senior management to align operational goals with company objectives. • Analyse performance metrics to drive continuous improvement across departments.
Production Management • Oversee daily manufacturing operations, ensuring quality standards and timely delivery. • Implement lean manufacturing principles to enhance productivity and reduce waste. • Coordinate with the production team to manage capacity planning and workflow optimisation.
Logistics & Supply Chain • Manage end-to-end logistics and fleet, including the relationship management of external courier. • Develop contingency plans to address potential disruptions and maintain service levels.
Customer Service Excellence • Lead the customer service team to deliver exceptional support and resolve issues promptly. • Implement systems to monitor customer satisfaction and feedback for service improvements. • Foster a customer-centric culture across all operational touchpoints
Compliance & Safety • Ensure all operations comply with health and safety regulations and industry standards. • Promote a culture of safety and continuous compliance improvement.
The Person The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years in an operational leadership role within manufacturing or logistics, preferably B2C environment. Proven track record of improving operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. Strong knowledge of supply chain management, production planning, and customer service best practices. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in ERP systems and data analysis tools. This position will suit someone looking to significantly impact a growing, exciting company. Salary £65,000 - £70,000 per year, plus benefits
