About Us:

Our client is a TrustMark-accredited and rapidly expanding installer of solar PV and gas boilers, based in Birmingham and operating nationally. As a key player in delivering ECO-funded energy solutions, they are now looking for an experienced Operations Director to help scale their operations while maintaining gold-standard compliance.

Operations Director - The Role:

You will lead and optimise the operations function. A critical part of your role will be managing the submissions and compliance team, ensuring flawless adherence to ECO (Energy Company Obligation) scheme requirements.

You’ll report directly to the Managing Director and work closely with technical, finance, and commercial teams to drive delivery, streamline processes, and prepare the business for continued growth.

Operations Director - Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee all operational activity related to solar PV and gas boiler installations

- Lead and develop the submissions and compliance team, ensuring timely, accurate processing of ECO-funded installations

- Ensure full compliance with TrustMark, MCS, PAS2035, and ECO requirements

- Drive operational performance and delivery KPIs across field and office teams

- Implement scalable systems and workflows to support growth and compliance

- Manage relationships with funders, energy companies, and accreditation bodies

- Maintain excellent health & safety and customer satisfaction standards

- Contribute to strategic planning and work as a key member of the senior leadership team

Operations Director – You:

- Essential: Extensive experience with the ECO scheme (including ECO4) and the full submissions/compliance process

- Proven leadership in an operational role within energy, heating, or renewables

- Knowledge of solar PV and gas boiler is desirable

- TrustMark accreditation, and funding audits experience

- Experience managing operational teams, especially in high-growth environments

- Process-driven, with a passion for quality, efficiency, and sustainable outcomes
