Location – Central Belt

Our client specialises in home exterior refurbishment with a broad customer base across Scotland and a passion for delivering great results. They have grown a successful business delivering roof, wall and window refurbishments to customer’s homes, alleviating the need for costly replacement works and adding instant curb appeal to customer homes.

As the business continues to grow, they have identified a requirement to appoint an Operations Director to the business, a member of the Senior Management Team with responsibility for driving the operational excellence of the business, continuing to improve processes as well as maximise productivity and efficiency.

The newly appointed Operations Director will lead further operational development of the business and oversee the operational and business strategy, driving continuous improvement throughout the business.

This role will be fully responsible for overseeing all:
Day to day operational activities
Organising the schedule of construction works
Health & Safety
Customer satisfaction

KEY ACCOUNTABLITIES

A member of the Senior Leadership Team, actively contributing to formulation and delivery of organisation wide strategy.
Seek continuous improvement in business process and operational practices making recommendations for process improvement to enable delivery of strategic aims in areas of responsibility and more generally.
Champion Health & Safety within the business, ensuring all policies and procedures are to the highest, industry standard.

KEY EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

High calibre individual who is strongly pragmatic in approach.
Entrepreneurial, thrives in a lean working environment.
Strategic thinker, able to readily move between `big picture` and immediate priority.
Instinctively commercial in approach, able to understand a range of business issues.
Strong customer focus.
A mindset committed to continuous improvement.
Team management experience, used to a field team environment where the workforce is dispersed.
Excellent communication skills with the confidence and gravitas to operate as a leader and external ambassador for the business.
Collegiate and diplomatic in approach to working with operational teams at all levels.
Strong project management skills.
Analytical skills and comfort with both complexity and ambiguity.
An awareness (and an aptitude to understand) technical concepts and issues (IT & other).
Ability to work under own initiative and without direct assistance.
