An established and successful specialist sheet metal fabrication and installation business operating predominantly within the retail and shopfitting sector, with a current turnover of approximately £3m. The business delivers bespoke metalwork and fabrication solutions to a strong customer base across the retail, commercial interiors and shopfitting markets. Recently acquired by a larger, established joinery manufacturing and installation group, the business is entering an exciting new phase of development, with the backing and resources of a larger organisation while retaining its specialist identity and entrepreneurial culture.
The Role & Opportunity
Following the recent departure of the Managing Director, we are looking for an exceptional Operations Manager / General Manager to take full responsibility for the business and report directly to the new owner.
Full autonomy to run the business and make key operational and commercial decisions.
Responsibility for the overall performance, profitability and growth of the company.
Lead and develop the production, project management, installation and wider team.
Take ownership of customer relationships, operational delivery and commercial performance.
Identify and deliver opportunities to improve efficiency, margins and profitability.
Develop the business, its people and customer base to deliver sustainable growth.
Work closely with the new owner and leverage the resources and capabilities of the wider group.
