Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities
Team Management

Supervise on-site waste teams at different customer sites.

Train team members and conduct regular briefings.

Perform regular competency and performance assessments.

Compliance & Safety

Ensure full compliance with H&S policies.

Keep waste areas organised and compliant.

Conduct and assist with risk assessments and safe procedures.

Process Improvement

Enforce waste segregation.

Streamline operations for cost reduction.

Help implement new waste projects and procedural updates.

Scheduling & Coordination

Efficiently schedule jobs, labour, and equipment use.

Maintain all administrative tasks tied to the role.

Travel

Regular travel and possible overnight stays required.

What You'll Need
Required:

Driving licence.

IT skills (especially Excel & Microsoft Office).

Strong leadership and communication skills.

Ability to build relationships with key stakeholders.

Detail-oriented and customer-focused.

Desirable:

IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH certification.

ILM Level 3/4 or similar leadership training.

Experience in waste management (helpful but not essential).

Location
Worcestershire / Warwickshire borders
(Around the M5 / M40 corridor - ideal if you're based nearby or can easily travel to multiple sites.)

Salary & Benefits
Base Salary: £42,000 - £45,000 DOE

Car Allowance: £7,960 annually

Mileage: £0.45/mile for first 10,000 miles, then £0.25/mile

Bonus: Up to 10% of salary (discretionary)
