Operations Manager

My client is a trusted provider of complete transmission solutions and precision components with a proud heritage spanning over 60 years. Serving global clients across motorsport, automotive, aerospace, and marine industries, they design, manufacture, and test high-performance transmission systems. As they continue to grow and invest in their future, they are now seeking an experienced and passionate Operations Manager to lead operational excellence and drive manufacturing capabilities forward.

The Operations Manager will play a critical role in leading day-to-day operations, improving processes, and ensuring the consistent delivery of quality products. You’ll be a strategic partner across the business, working closely with production, engineering, and senior leadership teams.

Operational Leadership:

• Communicate clearly with management, staff, and suppliers to ensure seamless operations.
• Align departmental activities with strategic and operational goals.
• Ensure operations are delivered on time and within budget.

Process Improvement & Quality Assurance:

• Develop and maintain quality assurance protocols.
• Optimise operational efficiency and enhance existing procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement.

Workforce Management & Development:

• Manage staffing requirements and oversee recruitment planning.
• Support and develop production staff through appraisals, pay reviews, and tailored development plans.
• Champion a culture of continuous improvement and staff empowerment.

Key Requirements:

• Strong background in engineering and manufacturing environments.
• HNC or equivalent in an Engineering-related discipline.
• Experience working with metal components/products.
• Proven track record in operations or production management

Location: Maidenhead (hybrid)
Salary: £65,000 - £75,000
