Our client, a leading subcontract sheet metal manufacturer is looking for an experienced Operations Manager, Manufacturing Manager or General Manager to join their business. · Providing strategic and operational leadership, fostering a high-performance culture focused on continuous improvement, accountability, and excellence in a fast-paced, competitive environment.

· Managing a workforce of over 60 employees, including oversight of recruitment, training and development, performance management, succession planning, and disciplinary procedures.

· Driving improvements including waste reduction, OEE, quality and profitability

· Controlling operational budgets, monitoring financial performance, and ensuring all business and profitability targets are consistently achieved.

· Leading continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and implementing process enhancements to drive operational efficiency, productivity, and product quality.

· Overseeing all departmental functions to ensure alignment with company objectives and that performance targets are met or exceeded across the board.

You must have experience of working as a Senior Manager within a sheet metal / fabrication environment. You will also have the following skills, experiences and attributes…

· You must be able to demonstrate progression from the shop floor

· A demonstrable track record of driving business growth and delivering sustained profitability, with a strong commitment to customer service excellence.

· In-depth understanding of management profit and loss accounts, with the ability to make data-driven decisions that enhance financial performance and operational efficiency.

· Strong commercial and financial acumen, combined with a collaborative leadership style and the ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.

· Proven ability to influence and build strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and external customers, creating a competitive advantage in the marketplace.

· Energetic, confident, and hands-on leadership approach, with excellent communication skills and a natural ability to inspire those around you.
