Operations Manager

MDR Consultancy are partnering with a long-established manufacturer and distributor of high-quality homeware products, based in Norfolk, to appoint an experienced Operations Manager to lead day-to-day site operations.

From production to dispatch, warehouse to compliance - you’ll be the person who keeps it all moving. Reporting into the UK Sales & Marketing Manager and working with senior leadership, your focus will be on creating consistency, clarity, and a smooth operational flow across the business.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role where your ability to lead, deliver and improve will be genuinely valued.

What you’ll be doing:

• Managing site operations across warehousing, production, and logistics
• Taking ownership of planning, performance and output across teams
• Overseeing supply chain coordination, customs and freight documentation
• Leading supplier relationships and procurement via MRP systems
• Maintaining FSC compliance and ensuring H&S standards are consistently met
• Supporting your team’s development, performance and wellbeing
• Acting as the link between production, dispatch and commercial direction

What you’ll bring: To hit the ground running, we’re looking for:

• Experience in manufacturing, logistics or distribution operations
• Strong people management - confident, fair, and hands-on
• A structured approach to planning, processes and team development
• Confidence working with MRP systems for procurement and production flow
• A valid NEBOSH qualification (or equivalent)
• Working knowledge of FSC compliance or similar regulatory standards
• Commercial awareness and a proactive mindset - you see the bigger picture and take ownership of the details
