Are you a hands-on operations leader with a background in warehouse and transport?

We're hiring on behalf of a well-established, privately-owned FMCG business looking for an experienced Operations Manager to lead their warehouse and transport function. This is a unique opportunity to step into a role with genuine autonomy and scope for transformation, reporting directly to the senior leadership team.

The Role

An an Operations Manager, you'll take full ownership of daily operations across warehousing and logistics, leading a small but dedicated team and supporting wider business goals. You'll be responsible for:

• Leading, motivating, and developing a team of supervisors, drivers, and operatives
• Overhauling and improving the transport function for efficiency and cost-effectiveness
• Implementing processes, KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Managing supplier and third-party logistics relationships
• Ensuring H&S, compliance, and BRCGS standards are maintained
• Supporting the leadership team with strategic input and operational data

What We're Looking For

We're keen to speak to Operation Managers who bring:

• Experience in warehouse and transport operation management / team lead / supervisor
• Strong people leadership skills - able to coach, challenge, and bring out the best in others
• Experience working with or setting up KPIs and performance metrics
• IT literacy, including Microsoft Excel and warehouse/transport systems
• Confidence and resilience in environments where priorities can shift fast

The Offer

• Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 (with 6-month salary review)

• Hours: Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours/week (on-site)
