Job Description - Operations Manager

Insight Executive Group are delighted to be working on an Operations Manager role for a leading global FM service provider. Our client is looking for a candidate with PFI experience within the education sector.

This is a permanent role, based in London and has a starting salary of £65k

The Operations Manager will work as part of the transformation team to drive a range of transformation activities across PFI contracts with a particular focus on East London schools portfolio. The role will focus on building the relationship with the client and SPV, ensuring delivery of the service improvement plans (SIP), change management and closure plans. The role will aim to inspire and challenge the contract Operational team to drive business performance and accelerate strategic change.

The Operations Manager will work in partnership with the manager(s) of the local operational delivery teams to ensure effective day-2-day running of the contract(s) is delivered alongside the transformation, SIP and closure plans. With a technical background in FM the role will add value to the management and delivery of both the Hard and Soft FM operations driving compliance, service delivery standards and client satisfaction, responding quickly to solutions engaging with all key stakeholders throughout.

The successful Operations Manager will be able to demonstrate:

  • significant Operational Management experience in a similar sized, complex, portfolio outsourcing environment, with both hard and soft services.
  • significant personal impact and influencing skills to ensure customer confidence is built and maintained across the full range of transformation and closure activities.
  • experience of delivering complex services within PFI contracts and a good understanding of the challenges and opportunities delivering contracts in this environment (this should include significant PFI experience).
  • extensive capability in service improvement planning to deliver a step change in performance
  • motivated and results-orientated with the drive to take tough decisions and continuously raise the bar and achieve targets
  • strong communication, team building and influencing skills
  • strong collaboration and stakeholder management experience
  • strong people leadership skills
  • leadership experience within a geographically dispersed, multi-functional, demanding and people focused environment
