Operations Manager

Reporting directly to the Founders, the Operations Manager will be responsible for the entire operation with a clear focus on production, capacity management and streamlining process.

Michael Page is working exclusively with an innovative food manufacturer to recruit an Operations Manager to join them in a time of significant growth. Founded less than 2yrs ago, this Liverpool based organisation has had a significant impact on the UK ecommerce food market, emerging as a key player in this space. Following significant month on month growth, they are currently exploring expansion plans to increase capacity, manage increasing demand and develop the business further.

Description

Responsibilities will include:

• Strategically identify the growth opportunities through process improvement, capacity management and expansion in-line with the business scale up ambition
• Oversee all production operations including production plan adherence, labour planning and cost control, raw material planning and asset management
• Collaborate with the founders to track costs, understand margin opportunity and develop an operational budget
• Manage, lead and mentor the production staff, identifying areas of development and implementing training to ensure each team member is adequately skilled
• Identify and implement Continuous Improvement opportunities to streamline processes and reduce waste
• Drive Health, Safety and Quality to ensure the highest of standards are maintained
• Collaborate with and manage the office team including online, customer service, design/web development and marketing to ensure efficiency across all aspects of the organisation

Profile

The successful Operations Manager will posses a range of the following:

• Demonstrable experience in a pivotal role during organisation or site growth
• Food industry experience (bakery would be advantageous)
• Experience in managing operational budgets
• Ability to work on own initiative with high level of personal accountability
• Strong leadership acumen with experience of managing production teams within an FMCG environment
• Tenacity with proven experience with change management
• Accountability and integrity
• Forward thinking with a positive mindset

Job Offer

Salary c. £50k
