Job Description - Operations Manager

Operations Manager - Office Furniture Fit-Out Company (Basildon)

A well-established yet rapidly expanding office furniture fit-out company based in Basildon is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee Installations and Logistics. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing business and play a key role in managing day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth and efficient project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the installations and logistics teams, ensuring all projects are completed on time and to the highest standard.
  • Coordinate and schedule deliveries, installations, and other logistics, ensuring effective use of resources and manpower.
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure seamless project execution and client satisfaction.
  • Monitor and manage the performance of installation teams, providing guidance and support where necessary.
  • Ensure health and safety compliance across all projects and sites.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to ensure the efficient management of resources and costs.
  • Work closely with senior management to help drive the growth and expansion of the company.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience in operations management, ideally within the office furniture sector or a similar industry.
  • Strong understanding of logistics and installation processes, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices within the industry.

Salary and Benefits:

  • Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience - there may be some stretch in salary if you have experience working in the Office Furniture Sector
  • This is a full-time, permanent position based in Basildon.
