Operations Manager

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Operations Manager to oversee our daily operations and ensure the efficient functioning of our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience with various tools and equipment. This role requires a proactive individual who can manage multiple tasks while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Duties

* Supervise daily operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness across all departments.

* Coordinate with team members to assemble products using hand tools and power tools, ensuring adherence to specifications.

* Conduct regular inspections of equipment and machinery, performing basic maintenance as needed.

* Manage inventory levels, ensuring that all necessary materials are available for production.

* Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the workplace.

* Facilitate training sessions for staff on the use of tools, equipment, and safety practices.

* Assist in heavy lifting tasks as required, ensuring that all team members are following proper lifting techniques.

* Maintain accurate records of operations, including production metrics and equipment maintenance logs.

* Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve overall operational efficiency.

* Sales and relationship management to win work from commercial and domestic clients

* Taking oncall phone calls to help our team working OOH

* Booking Jobs and other reporting on our internal company systems

* H&S reporting and auditing of our engineers

* Dealing with Customer Complaints

Qualifications

* Proven experience in an operations management role or similar position.

* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively.

* Strong Computer Skills

* Basic maths skills for inventory management and operational calculations.

* Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently.

* Valid commercial driving licence.

* Excellent organisational skills with a keen attention to detail.

* Strong leadership abilities with effective communication skills to manage a diverse team.

* Ability to carry out site visits and send quotations to clients for works
