Hours: 9.00am - 5.00pm, Monday - Friday although some flexibilty may be required for customer site visits
Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum dependent upon experience

Polytec are looking for an Operations Manager to join our Royston based client. You will be responsible for equipment installations, maintenance and performance across customer sites in the UK and internationally, ensuring systems operate safely, reliably and efficiently.

Responsibilities

- Manage reactive and preventative maintenance to maximise equipment availability
- Oversee equipment installations and deployments, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget
- Ensure equipment is maintained to the required operational and safety standards
- Identify and implement equipment improvements through change management processes
- Monitor operational costs and identify opportunities for improvement
- Provide technical training to customers, partners and technicians
- Investigate equipment failures, carry out root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- Supervise technicians working on customer sites
- Work with internal teams to coordinate equipment requirements and new deployments

Requirements

- Experience in operations management or a similar technical role
- Strong organisational and project management skills
- Practical approach to troubleshooting and problem-solving
- Experience with equipment maintenance and continuous improvement
- Good communication skills and the ability to work with customers and internal teams
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel

Desirable

- Experience in robotics, automation or a related technical industry
- Experience managing technicians or field-based teams
- A hands-on approach to operational improvement
