Job Description - Operations Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced entrepreneur to join the C-suite managerial team at Concrete4Change.

Operations Manager (chemist)
Location:

Nottingham
Remuneration:

£60,000-£100,000 per annum (depending on experience, track record and capability). Share options: Up to £125,000

Start date and end date (approx):

This is a permanent position and is available for immediate start. (Flexible on start date based on notice period)

Job description:
As the Operations Manager, you have an entrepreneurial mindset. The main purpose of the company is R&D development for the next 18 months and hence the focus will be to manage the R&D resources with 30% focus on all other operations. The person must be able to grow within the role as the company transitions and expands within Europe and the US (we were the fastest growing hard tech investment in the UK last year). You will be responsible for managing a team of researchers to deliver high-quality technology solutions. You will also work with the executive team to identify opportunities for innovation, analyse market trends, and ensure that their technology is aligned with the core business objectives.

Person’s specifications
Essential:
PhD Chemistry or construction material science.
years of post PhD experience, at least 3+ years in a senior management position, with experience in hiring, performance evaluation and team management.
experience in daily operations of the business, including team management, human resources,
in hiring, coaching, and performance management.
project management skills, with a track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
of business planning, data analysis and Fundraising
ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment and build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders and investors.
of laboratory setup, HSE requirements, experience in equipment specification development and procurement

Desirable:
of funding mechanisms, grant applications, and collaboration opportunities within the R&D sector.
of working in deep tech start-ups is highly desirable
