Operation Manager | Nottinghamshire | Permanent | Salary £50,000 - £57,000| On site Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Operations Manager will work as a key member of the Senior Management team to support business growth in line with budget expectation, collaborating and engaging with customers, staff and the wider business to maintain, deliver and improve production output.
Responsibilities:
The Client expectation is the delivery of a cost effective high performing service which meets their needs and ensures a fully compliant estate.
Provide leadership to the incumbent engineering team, and ensure that contractual commitments are delivered.
Represent the Contract as the Technical Expert
Ensure we have the correct level of Appointed Persons on the Contract and that all training is completed and up to date.
Responsible for the weekly & monthly compliance reporting.
Ensure the correct staffing structures operate across the engineering team, balancing cost with the delivery of service excellence. Ensure structures and processes support peaks and troughs in workload, and disaster recovery.
Ensuring a customer focus within all areas of operational activities, and that effective relationships are maintained with key client contacts.
Provision of leadership and guidance, advice, coaching and direct support, where required to deliver best practice selection, training, assessment and recognition/reward
Collaborate with the Quality team to ensure products manufactured are in line with agreed standards.
Develop new business systems to support business growth and meet changing commercial and regulatory demands.
Drive personnel improvements for direct reports using group PDP process.
Provide effective leadership, particularly in times of change by effective planning, goal setting, delegation and coaching
Responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problem
Provide strategic direction and management for all warehouse activities to ensure service delivered meets required standards.
Collaborate with the Health & Safety Manager to ensure Operations facility remains a safe working environment. Implement new initiatives, procedures and processes to improve health & safety on site and maintain positive H&S culture
