Job Description - Operations Planner

Join our dynamic Operations Support team as a Resource Planner, where you'll play a key role in optimising field engineer schedules and ensuring exceptional customer service. This is a fast-paced, full-time role based in Warwick, ideal for someone who thrives on problem-solving and real-time coordination.

Shift Pattern:
Rotating shifts scheduled in advance, including:

  • Monday to Friday: 07:30-16:30, 08:00-17:00, 09:00-18:00, 10:00-19:00
  • Saturdays: 08:30-14:00 (1 in 3 rotation)
  • Shifts will be adjusted accordingly during weeks with Saturday work to maintain a 40-hour work week.

Flexibility to work rotating shifts is essential.

About the Role

We're looking for a proactive and organised OperationsResourcePlanner to join our Operations Support team. In this role, you'll be responsible for optimising the daily schedules of our field engineering workforce, ensuring customer appointments are met in line with service level agreements.

You'll act as a key point of contact for engineers and team managers, providing real-time support and helping to resolve scheduling issues efficiently and professionally.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage and optimise field workforce schedules using advanced planning systems
- Handle inbound calls, emails, and chats promptly and professionally
- Communicate with customers regarding appointment changes or delays
- Order parts and coordinate logistics to ensure engineers are fully equipped
- Create follow-up visits and manage parts orders from internal/external suppliers
- Monitor and export engineer workloads to maximise efficiency and minimise travel
- Support same-day planning to meet service levels and reduce broken commitments
- Adapt to daily operational challenges and ensure optimal resource utilisation
- Monitor and manage jobs at risk of delay (Jeopardy Management)

About You
To succeed in this role, you'll need:

- Experience with scheduling and planning systems
- A solution-focused mindset and the ability to stay calm under pressure
- Strong multitasking and communication skills
- Excellent PC skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience with internal systems (advantageous but not essential)
