cer Financial are working alongside an international bank, who are based in the City of London. They are seeking an Operations Supervisor to work with them on a permanent basis.

The responsibilities of the Operations Supervisor will include:

1. Ensure operations comply with bank policies, regulations, and best practices
2. Deliver consistently high-quality customer service
3. Process client data, transactions, and cashiering activities
4. Manage customer onboarding, account opening, cards, and online banking
5. Support team with a flexible, responsible, and proactive approach
6. Complete transactions accurately and within deadlines
7. Ensure loan drawdown conditions are met in coordination with Credit Risk
8. Set up approved credit facilities on core systems
9. Maintain limits for trading, customers, counterparties, and settlements
10. Escalate risks to management and report through proper channels
11. Manage Treasury counterparties as required
12. Support and deliver project-related tasks on time
13. Process loans, deposits, rollovers, renewals, and repayments per procedures
14. Maintain and update customer mandates
15. Review and update operations procedures and desk instructions
16. Investigate and resolve queries/discrepancies; maintain logs and evidence
17. Ensure all transactions comply with risk controls, AML, and compliance requirements
18. Escalate risks/issues to relevant stakeholders promptly
19. Stay up to date with regulatory requirements and changes
20. Maintain high processing accuracy with minimal errors or complaints
21. Adhere to bank policies, procedures, and product knowledge standards
22. Support reporting/MI production for management
23. Complete additional tasks as assigned by line manager
24. Comply with regulatory obligations, training, and reporting of breaches
25. Support operational resilience, training, and incident response

The candidate will have:

1. Degree-level education or equivalent experience in banking/financial services
2. Minimum 5 years’ banking experience
3. Strong understanding of banking operations and processes
4. Proficient in banking technology
5. Knowledge of Equation Banking system (advantageous)
6. Keeps up to date with new banking products
