Key Responsibilities:
Excellence in Clinical Service:

Candidates are expected to uphold a professional standard in the test room, working closely with the store team to meet and exceed both patient needs and business goals.
Senior Optometrist Duties:

Responsibilities include overseeing professional training and supervision, ensuring adherence to professional service protocols, and providing support to the Principal Optometrist in leading the vision care services.
Leadership as a Principal Optometrist:

Successful applicants will offer effective leadership and development opportunities to the optometry team, fostering an environment of growth and excellence.
Role Objectives:
Conduct eye examinations following Company procedures and NHS regulations, ensuring pre-testing and field screening are completed with accuracy and efficiency.
Write and dispatch referral letters promptly, providing customers with a clear understanding of their dispensing options, including eyecare and contact lens advice.
Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in consulting and contact lens areas, keeping patient records up-to-date to the required professional standards.
Engage in continuous professional development, attending team meetings, and fulfilling additional duties as requested by the senior optometrist.
Senior Optometrist Responsibilities:
Assist in the supervision and training of professional and support staff, contributing to the establishment and monitoring of clinical and store protocols.
Supervise and mentor pre-reg optometrists or trainee DO/CLOs, working towards the growth and productivity of the professional staff team.
Principal Optometrist Tasks:
Engage in staff coaching, performance appraisals, and the setting of bonus targets as directed by the practice directors.
Plan and manage staff rotas and holiday cover, ensuring consulting rooms are maintained to retail standards, and actively seek opportunities to grow the business.
