Oracle DBA - Oracle 19c - AIX - Linux - Cardiff - Inside IR35

My client is urgently seeking an experienced Oracle DBA to join a client project on an initial 6 month contract. The successful Oracle DBA will work on the ongoing functional support and improvement of the clients current database infrastructure and will assist with Supporting a 24-hour and 7-day a week production environment. You will need to manage & resolve Oracle DB and App issues, Install/configure/manage/monitor Oracle Databases Database. Be responsible for Lifecycle management including automation, maintenance, patching & upgrading. Meeting infrastructure requirements of new projects and overseeing their progress to business as usual applications.
6 month initial contract - Extensions highly likely
Inside IR35
Hybrid working - 1-2 days per week onsite in Cardiff would be Ideal
Skills & Experience:
Demonstrable experience as an Oracle DBA / Oracle database support - Ideally at 19c
Diagnostic and Tuning skills for Oracle databases with OEM
HA RAC and Data Guard
Strong knowledge of backup and recovery and High availability options
Good Knowledge of Linux and Aix Operating Systems
Previous Experience in Production support and supporting development teams
Ability to work well with offshore teams and 3rd party vendors.
Good presentation and communication skills, written & verbal
Good shell scripting skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexibility and adaptability to integrate into the DBA Team with knowledge sharing and good documentation.
Keeping to deadlines working under pressure when needed
