Job Description - Order Processor

Are you an organised Administrator with excellent attention to detail and experience working in a busy, fast-paced environment?

This is an excellent opportunity for an Order Processor to join a busy and supportive team on a 14-month contract, providing maternity cover. The role will include around 2 months of training and handover before the maternity leave begins, followed by approximately 12 months of maternity cover, giving you plenty of time to learn the role and become fully confident within the position.

As an Order Processor, the majority of your time will be spent accurately processing and dispatching customer orders, working closely with the purchasing and warehouse teams to ensure orders are dealt with efficiently and within required timescales. Customer contact is relatively limited, with communication taking place by both telephone and email when required.

What will you be doing as an Order Processor:

Accurately inputting customer orders onto the internal database
Processing and dispatching orders within required timescales
Checking order information carefully to ensure accuracy
Liaising with the Purchasing Team regarding orders for out-of-stock items
Working closely with the Warehouse Team to resolve order processing queries and issues
Acting as a point of contact for internal departments and customers regarding order processing enquiries
Responding to customer queries professionally by telephone and email
Keeping internal systems and records accurate and up to date
Working to deadlines within a busy and fast-paced environment
Supporting colleagues and the wider team as required
Using your initiative to identify opportunities for improvements and suggesting new ideas
Adapting to changes in processes and priorities as requiredWe would LOVE to hear from you if you have the following skills and experience:

Previous experience as an Order Processor, Order Administrator, Sales Administrator, Sales Support Administrator, Customer Service Administrator, Office Administrator, Administrator or Order Entry Clerk
Previous administration experience within a busy, fast-paced environment
Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
Proven ability to work to deadlines and manage a busy workload
Good IT skills and confidence using databases and internal systems
A confident and professional telephone manner
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Positive, proactive and motivated approach to your work
Ability to work independently and use your own initiative
Flexible and adaptable approach to changing priorities
Strong team player who enjoys working collaboratively and supporting colleagues

£26,436 per annum
14-month maternity contract
Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm
40 hours per week
1-hour unpaid lunch
