We are seeking a skilled and board-certified Orthopedic Surgeon to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will specialize in diagnosing, treating, preventing, and rehabilitating musculoskeletal disorders and injuries. This includes expertise in surgical and non-surgical treatments of bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, and muscles.
Key Responsibilities:
Examine, diagnose, and treat patients with injuries or disorders affecting the musculoskeletal system.
Perform surgical procedures including joint replacements, fracture repairs, arthroscopies, and spinal surgeries.
Develop individualized treatment plans and coordinate care with physical therapists and other healthcare providers.
Use diagnostic tools such as X-rays, MRIs, and CT scans to assess conditions.
Monitor patient progress post-surgery and adjust treatment as necessary.
Educate patients and families about conditions, surgical procedures, and recovery plans.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation.
Adhere to established medical protocols and ethical standards.
Qualifications:
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
Completed residency in orthopedic surgery from an accredited institution.
Board certification (or eligibility) in Orthopedic Surgery.
Valid state medical license to practice.
Proven experience in orthopedic surgical procedures.
Skills and Competencies:
Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical stamina.
Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Compassionate with strong patient communication abilities.
Proficient in modern surgical techniques and medical technology.
Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
Preferred Experience:
Fellowship training in a subspecialty such as sports medicine, spine, hand, or joint replacement (optional based on need).
Experience with robotic or minimally invasive surgical systems is a plus.
Work Environment:
Hospital and/or outpatient surgical center settings.
May involve on-call responsibilities including nights, weekends, and holidays.
