SEND Outdoor Learning Support Assistant – Crediton, Devon

Teaching Personnel is recruiting caring, committed SEND Outdoor Learning Support Assistants to work with pupils in schools across Crediton and the surrounding areas.

The Role

Position: SEND Outdoor Learning Support Assistant
Pay: £105–£115 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-time, Term Time Only
Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00 am–4:30 pm

What You’ll Do

Provide dedicated 1:1 or small-group support during outdoor learning sessions
Adapt activities to meet individual learning needs and abilities
Support the implementation of EHCPs, IEPs and behaviour support plans
Promote independence, confidence and engagement through outdoor learning
Support pupils with emotional wellbeing, communication and behaviour regulation
Work closely with teachers, the SENCo and wider support staff to provide consistent support

We’re Looking For

Previous experience supporting children with SEND — desirable but not essential
Transferable experience in areas such as care, youth work, outdoor education or family SEND support
A patient, resilient and proactive approach
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
A genuine desire to support pupils and develop a career in education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
