Outdoor Site Operative - Environmental

We are currently recruiting for a site operative for an Environmental Contracting firm.

Hours of work

Monday to Friday 08:00 - 16:30

Salary

£25k per annum. We would consider paying more to a successful candidate dependent on experience/qualification.

Job Description

The successful applicant will be joining an experienced team of staff whose main area of work is in Environmental Contracting.

We undertake a wide variety of work in the following areas:

River restoration

River weed cutting

Arboricultural work

Pond/lake/wetland creation and management

Construction of bridges

Construction of fishing platforms

Construction of boardwalks

Countryside access works

Environmental Consultancy

We are looking for a person who is:

• hard-working, reliable
• has a practical aptitude
• is personable and able to work well in a small team
• is motivated and independent
• has an eye for detail
• a full driving licence is required
• is looking to improve their skills and develop them through ongoing training

Desirable (not essential)

• plant operator certificates
• chainsaw certificates
• brushcutterexperience
• ecological and conservation interest
• understanding of construction
• first aid training
