Pain Management Outpatient Nurse – NHS Hospitals

SJK Healthcare is urgently recruiting an experienced Pain Management Nurse to support specialist outpatient pain clinics within NHS hospitals. This role is ideal for a nurse with strong experience in chronic pain pathways, patient education, and multidisciplinary care.

Key Responsibilities

Supporting consultant-led pain management clinics

Conducting clinical assessments & reviewing pain history

Managing patients with chronic pain conditions such as:

Neuropathic pain

Musculoskeletal pain

Post-surgical pain

Fibromyalgia & complex regional pain

Supporting interventions including:

Steroid/nerve block preparation

TENS education

Medication reviews (in collaboration with prescribers)

Providing patient education (self-management, pacing, lifestyle adjustments)

Supporting telephone/virtual follow-up reviews

Accurate documentation within EPR systems

Working collaboratively with Consultants, Physiotherapists, HCAs, and Pain Specialists

Requirements

Registered Nurse (NMC PIN required)

Minimum 1 year’s experience in pain management, MSK, chronic illness, or similar

Strong communication and patient engagement skills

Ability to manage sensitive, complex patient needs

Outpatient experience beneficial

Confident working autonomously in a clinic setting

Must have the right to work in the UK and live in the UK
