THE COMPANY: This esteemed organisation serves as the regulatory body for the UK veterinary and veterinary nursing professions. Dedicated to advancing veterinary standards, the company also promotes the study and practice of veterinary surgery and medicine, all in the interest of animal health and welfare and the wider public.

THE ROLE: As an integral part of the communications team, the Outreach & Engagement Manager will report to the Events Manager. The role focuses on building engagement with veterinary and veterinary nursing students, new graduates, and recently qualified professionals. Responsibilities include developing and leading outreach programmes to raise awareness of veterinary careers among school pupils from diverse backgrounds. You will also manage a network of student ambassadors, curate relevant content, and support broader engagement activities.

THE PERSON:
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in stakeholder engagement and outreach, volunteer management, and event planning. Strong project management and time management skills are essential, along with excellent writing abilities and a knack for creating engaging content. Effective communication with internal and external partners at all levels is crucial. The candidate should possess patience, perseverance, sound judgement, and a willingness to work as part of a team. An understanding of safeguarding policies around young people is also required.
