Outsourcing Accountant

Description

• Manage a portfolio of outsourcing clients, providing bookkeeping and management accounting services
• Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts for clients
• Process sales and purchase ledgers, bank reconciliations, and VAT returns
• Assist with payroll processing and related compliance
• Communicate with clients to gather information and provide accounting guidance
• Support senior team members with year-end accounts preparation
• Identify opportunities to improve clients' financial processes

Profile

• AAT qualification (or equivalent)
• Proven experience in an accounting role within practice
• Strong knowledge of major accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, Dext)
• Experience with cloud accounting solutions
• Knowledge of Making Tax Digital requirements
• Previous client-facing experience
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple priorities
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Team player with a client-focused approach
