Outsourcing Manager Accounts

Spencer Clarke Group are looking to recruit an experienced ACA/ACCA Qualified Outsourcing Manager (Accounts) to be based in our clients Manchester central office. This is a fantastic foot in the door to an amazing Top 15 firm, and you will become part of a fast-growing and dynamic Outsourcing Team.

You will be dealing predominantly with owner managed businesses and clients in the private wealth and estates sector.

This is a client facing, fast paced role which includes advisory elements and you will often be dealing with high-net worth clients. The work will be varied and ranges from typical year end compliance through to ad-hoc advisory and project work, and with a particular focus on delivering outsourcing services.

We are looking for someone with lots of ambition and enthusiasm, with a positive attitude to their work. This role requires someone who is able to delegate tasks and take control of their own workload.

You will have responsibility for managing a portfolio of clients that operate in a range of sectors and the role would include (but is not limited to):

• Supervising the coaching and development of qualified staff and trainees within the Outsourcing Team.
• Working with a client base that will be predominantly limited companies, partnerships and limited liability partnerships, but also with some sole traders, trusts and smaller private charities.
• Financial management.
• Supervising the preparation of year-end financial statements.
• High level reviews of management accounts and VAT returns.
• Leading a team on large outsourcing projects within the firm.
• Work planning and annual timetabling, ensuring that internal timetables are met by the junior members of the team.
• Taking ownership of ad-hoc advisory projects.
• Liaising with Tax and Audit teams.
• Building and maintaining client relationships.

What do we require from you?

• You will need to have experience of management, as you will be managing your own portfolio whilst also being responsible for reviewing the work of more junior tax staff.
• You will need to be experienced in the delivery and management of personal tax compliance services.
• Outsourcing experience is ideal.
