Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and well-structured Geography lessons across Key Stages 3-4 (and potentially KS5).


• Inspire students to achieve their full potential in Geography and develop a deep understanding of the world around them.


• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance the geographical opportunities and outcomes for students.


• Contribute to the monitoring and evaluation of student progress in Geography and the impact of departmental initiatives.


• TLR opportunities may be available in areas such as leading assessment, data analysis, mentoring less experienced geography staff, or leading specific projects to raise attainment in Geography.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.


• Degree in Geography or a closely related field.


• Experience teaching Geography at secondary level (ECTs welcome to apply).


• Strong subject knowledge across physical and human geography, with a focus on achieving high standards.


• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate students to achieve geographical excellence.


• A desire to take on additional responsibilities and contribute to leadership within the Geography department and the pursuit of academic excellence (for TLR consideration).
