P2P Manager

P2P Manager | £45,000-50,000 | Merseyside

We are working with a reputable business based in Merseyside to recruit a P2P Manager role to join a growing finance team.

You will be responsible for managing the purchase ledger function, developing and improving processes and implementing positive change. Day to day your role will involve:

• Management of the accounts payable team: motivating, leading, coaching, training and supervising them on a daily basis
• Key role in managing supplier relationships, dealing with complex queries and escalations
• Responsibility for regular, large scale payment runs
• Working on initiatives to help develop the payments processes and other AP duties
• Month end reporting and managing the month end close
• Working and supporting key projects around process efficiency
• Developing and continuously improving purchase to pay processes and controls
• Helping implement cost saving initiatives
• Developing strong relationship with suppliers
• Dealing as a point of escalation to complex queries for the team

We are looking for someone who has:

• Significant experience in accounts payable, with experience of managing teams before
• Good understanding of P2P processes
• Demonstrable experience of process improvement and project management experience
• Strong systems knowledge
• Managerial level skills must include 121s, appraisals, coaching, mentoring etc
• Proactive nature to take ownership of driving continuous improvement
