Our client is a well-established and growing organisation seeking an experienced and highly organised Assistant to the Director to join their busy and expanding team.
This is a varied and hands-on role providing direct support to the Director across new business, customer relationships, administration, meetings, compliance and company accreditations.
The successful candidate will be proactive, professional and confident, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment. The Role
Working closely with the Director and wider team, you will provide day-to-day administrative, organisational and commercial support. You will assist with new customer enquiries, follow up potential opportunities and support the development of new and existing customer relationships.
You will help prepare for and attend customer meetings, taking accurate notes and ensuring agreed actions are followed through. The role will also involve managing correspondence, coordinating meetings and appointments, maintaining accurate records and preparing documents, reports, presentations and quotations as required.
A key part of the position will involve supporting the organisation with its compliance requirements, including ISO standards and company accreditations. You will maintain organised records, assist with audits and reviews, monitor documentation and ensure actions and deadlines are followed up appropriately.
You will work closely with colleagues across the business to ensure customer enquiries and requirements are dealt with efficiently, while also taking on additional responsibilities as the department continues to grow.
About You
The ideal candidate will come from a construction background and will be highly organised, proactive and able to work independently while also being a strong team player. You will have excellent attention to detail and be confident communicating professionally with both customers and colleagues.
You will be comfortable working in a busy environment where priorities can change and will have the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word and Excel, is required.
You will need to be reliable, approachable and customer-focused, with the professionalism required to handle confidential and commercially sensitive information. A willingness to learn and develop your understanding of business development, ISO requirements and accreditations will be important
This is a full time office based role with no remote working
